Worduel: Wordle 1v1

Worduel is Wordle 1v1 on one shared board. You and your rival get the same hidden five-letter word and take turns guessing it. Every guess lights up the letters for both of you, so whatever you dig up, your rival can use too. First to crack the word wins

RANKED DUEL

Hit Play and you're matched with an opponent close to your rating. Everyone starts at 500. You get 45 seconds a move, a move you let run out is skipped, and skip too many and the duel is lost. Win and you take rating points, lose and you give some up

PLAY A FRIEND

Pick "With a friend" above the Play button and send your friend the four-letter room code or the link. You get the same board and clock, the rating stays out of it, and the score of your series is kept

SOLO WITH NO DAILY LIMIT

It works like Wordle Unlimited: six tries at a word and no waiting for tomorrow. Solve it and the next word shows up right away, miss it and you can take another run at the same one

A CARD FOR EVERY WORD

After each game you see the hidden word's part of speech, what it means and two example sentences. Handy if you're learning one of the languages

READING THE BOARD

A green letter sits in the right spot. A letter with a yellow outline is in the word, just somewhere else. A pale one isn't in the word at all
